NIK + SAVANNAH | ENGAGEMENT IN DOWNTOWN FREDERICK | MARYLAND ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

As a wedding photographer, you grow with your couples. You learn from their connection, you see their love through your camera in a way that no one else does. You get to observe a love story, a real life fairy tale, being told right in front of you. Nik + Savannah are one of the most idyllic couples I've ever met, both with hearts of gold, daring and excited for this new journey they're about to embark upon. Their cozy engagement session in historic downtown Frederick has got to be one of my favorite e-sessions to date and I pretty much want to move to Frederick just because of how amazing this session was! We found the best details with big teal doors, aged brick, and cozy coffee and book shops. 

I met Savannah a few years ago when I photographed her family during Christmas time. Her family is one of the most kind-hearted and loving families I've ever known - each with great personalities. I photographed her brother Nathaniel's elegant and rustic fall wedding last year and kept my fingers crossed on getting to photograph Savannah's wedding one day. Low and behold, her and Nikolas were getting serious and not even a year later, here we are celebrating their engagement and their special wedding day tomorrow! 

Nik is an awesome guy with the best sense of humor. We immediately clicked united by our love of "The Office" and the natural sarcasm that you have to have to truly love that show. Nik has loved Savannah for the better part of 8 years, waiting patiently to be her soulmate. (Or as he says "It's all about the long game". Haha.) He's the perfect counterpart to Savannah's wholesome sweetness. Together they're down to earth but dreamers. They're sometimes awkward yet always romantic. Their connection to each other is real, undisturbed by the world.

I cannot wait to photograph the first day of their marriage at their beautiful wedding tomorrow. Congrats Nik + Savannah!
