Only a few more days and these two are hitched!

If there’s one key thing I’ve learned about shooting in Maryland, its to never trust the weather forecast. No matter how often I check it in advance with multiple sources, Maryland has a way of just doing her own damn thing. Case in point - by the time I was meeting with Jim + Heather for their engagement session, we had already rescheduled a few times because of rain or storms. We had our fingers crossed that the day we met was just cloudy and nothing more. And guess what? Maryland brought that rain anyway.

The best part? These two kept going. Nothing was going to stop them from taking in the experience together and living in the moment. They weren’t going to let the rain ruin their session and we ended up having such a fun time photographing through the trees in Loch Raven. Jim + Heather have this genuine sweetness to them, they show how much they care for each other in subtle but direct ways.

Even though I won’t be the one photographing their epic wedding this weekend, I am so glad I got to meet and photograph this special time in their love story. Congrats Jim + Heather!
