There is something about introverted couples that always intrigues me. I’ve always been a more outgoing person but it wasn’t until I met my hubs that I started to internalize a bit more and I have such a newfound appreciation for sweet and simple couples. Matthew + Allyson are just that.
Allyson found me through an engagement giveaway that I hosted last year and I couldn’t help but choose them as one of my winning couples. We chose downtown Frederick and they brought the energy despite the freezing temperatures. When they had met through Allyson’s brother in-law, she found him “super cute” but their timing couldn’t seem to line up. A few years later, after Allyson graduated college, perfect timing finally stepped in when they saw each other again and Matthew pursued Allyson with everything he had in him. She told me she knew that he was “the one” from the very beginning.
Love stories that aren’t instant, that take some patience and a little bit of wandering, always seem to be some of the most meaningful. Matthew says that he loves how Allyson is positive no matter what the situation, and she loves how laid back he is and how he keeps her grounded.
They’ve given homage to Star Wars with their May Fourth be with you, and I can’t wait to see their beautiful day unfold. Congrats Matthew + Allyson!
